Story time:
I did not start my business out of courage.
Deciding to throw a ‘perfectly good’ corporate job away.
I had done that before even considering a business – out of heart and love reasons (but that’s another story for another time.
I started my business because
8 years ago when I arrived to Portugal
there was no proper job for me here.
Not for a decent salary, not in a provincial city, like Porto.
And certainly not for a foreigner not speaking the local language yet.
I started my business because I was tired of looking for a ‘normal’ job.
I was tired of doing what I thought I was supposed to do but dreaded inside.
And because the idea of losing more months trying to force closed doors
was just disheartening.
So I decided to think alternatively.
And once I opened up to new possibilities
the new ways started showing up for me.
And then I hit a new roadblock:
I had a business, I had new dreams, I had something to offer
but there was no flow of high-level clients.
For 9 months I tried what I knew best:
forcing my way through the challenge,
ready to show once again I was up to it.
Until I was tired, disheartened and ready to give up – once and for all.
And then it occurred to me: I had to step back and think alternatively.
Once again.
I let go of the 3-step formulas, and the marketing gurus
and decided to follow the flow, inner work and creative ways.
That gave me not only a business,
and bigger income than ever in my life before
but it also gave me freedom,
an unknown sense of purpose and fulfillment
And a life lived in grace, gratitude and increasing ease.
Looking back, I can now tell you this:
Each major block in my life was a blessing.
Because it stopped me from going on a path I did not really want.
and helped me step back and think of it all alternatively.
Dealing with each block pushed me into
increased connection to my intuition
increased tuning into my creativity
and, ultimately, increased ease, alignment and money.
So here’s my message to you:
If you’ve been doing all the right and known things to get what you want
but you’re still nowhere near where you want to be
It’s time to let go of what you think you should be doing
and step into what you deep down know you need to be becoming.
It’s never about pushing your way through your blocks
But it’s about floating above them
by stepping up
into a new level of consciousness and being.
The concrete results?
a healthier business, a happier life, and a happier overflowing bank account.
This work is not for everyone.
It’s different to what is preached, taught and believed
it does not imply hustle, hard work or rules
But it does require commitment, a deep calling
and the knowing that you are a massive force
and you are made for more, faster and better
exactly as you can feel in your heart.
